Easter in Myrtle Beach

By Hotel Blue

Easter is always a fun time in Myrtle Beach. It’s when families come together, have great food and relax on the beach.

You may not have thought about coming to Myrtle Beach for Easter, but consider it a great option! There is a lot going on in Myrtle Beach for Easter Weekend:

Easter Eggstravaganza: Our sister resort, Captain’s Quarters, will be having a special celebration on Saturday, the day before Easter. As always, hotel BLUE guests are welcome to attend any events at Captain’s Quarters as well as use their amenities. If you have kids, you will want to get there at 4 p.m. to get them registered for the activities of the day including the always-fun Easter Egg Hunt! Throughout the evening there will be special performances and appearances by The Greg Holt Balloon and Magic Show, Captain Sneaky and Tiki Bird and Salty the Shark! Starting at 5 p.m. there will be an Easter Cook-Out (available at small cost) and at 7:30 p.m. adults and children alike will have a chance to enjoy the ever-popular Chief Kamu Fire and Hula Show!

Thompson Farm’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt: Another great event for the little ones is the Thompson Farm Easter Egg Hunt. Now in its second year, this fun activity takes place at Thompson Farm in Conway and will begin at 11 a.m. It’s a little bit of a drive but it’s well worth it! Kids will be divided up into age groups for the egg hunt and a special golden egg will be hidden for a lucky child to find! There is also a lot more to while you are there including hay wagon rides and meeting the farm animals.

Fireworks at Broadway at the Beach: The Broadway at the Beach fireworks are always fun to watch. If you are in town for Easter weekend, be sure to catch them on March 30 at 9 p.m.!

Easter Bunny Breakfasts: There are a variety of Easter Bunny Breakfasts going on Easter weekend. Ripley’s Aquarium will have theirs at 8 a.m. on Saturday and Hard Rock Café will have theirs the same day but at 9 a.m. Be sure to give them a call to reserve you and your child’s spot!

Myrtle Beach Beerfest: Not an Easter celebration, Myrtle Beach Beerfest happens to fall on Easter weekend. Patrons can enjoy sampling a large variety of beers during one of the three sessions of their choosing. The first one will by Friday, March 29 at 5 p.m. then there will be two on Saturday: one at 11 a.m. and a later one at 4 p.m. at the House of Blues. Tickets for this event must be purchased ahead of time, so get them before you come.

If you haven’t made your reservations for Easter weekend, do so now because rooms are filling up fast!
