Fresh Local Appetizing Valuable Original Restaurants is what the acronym f.l.a.v.o.r. stands for. This is year marks the fourth annual f.l.a.v.o.r. showcase. It will be hosted at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center on April 8 at 4:00 to 7:30 p.m.  and feature over 30 restaurants!

Flavor is open to the public and has free admission; all that is left is to buy tickets to try out all of the delicious restaurants! Food samples will range from one to three tickets at each booth and ticket prices range from $1.25 to $2 each, depending on the quantity purchased. You are going to want to buy a lot of tickets, there is much to sample!

Grand strand restaurants will be there to impress with their best menu samples. There will also be beer and wine gardens stationed around the room to broaden your local brew taste buds.

During the event you will get to vote for “Best Flavor” and “People’s Choice”.

Some of the vendors are also hotel Blue partners. This means you can get discounts at local restaurants just by using the VMB card you get at check-in.

 Pier House Restaurant located on Second Avenue Pier will take part in f.l.a.v.o.r. Their menu features some of the most delicious shrimp and grits whether for lunch or dinner on the grand strand.

Another great vendor is our friends over at Sticky Fingers. Sticky Fingers is known for their fall of the bone ribs and classic smoked meat taste. They will be showcasing their finger licking good barbecue , if you don’t get enough at the showcase head to one of their locations with your VMB card and get 15% off your entire meal.

Another great partner that will be wowing you at f.l.a.v.o.r. is Travinia Italian Kitchen and Wine Bar. Travinia has been renowned for its’ contemporary American Italian cuisine and praised for its customer service since 2002. Travinia serves up 100% fresh originality, take their prosciutto and fig pizza for example, you won’t be getting that anywhere else.

Area Horry Georgetown Tech Culinary students will be competing for scholarships during the event and the spirit of competition is sure to create a buzz in the atmosphere.

Head to f.l.a.v.o.r. April 8th from 4:00 to 7:30 p.m. and sample local eateries that you may not try normally. Who knows you just may stumble upon a treasure that you go to for years to come!
