Halloween In Myrtle Beach: Parties

By Hotel Blue

If you are going to be spending Halloween in Myrtle Beach, you will want to know where the hottest and craziest parties are. Look no further, because we’ve tracked down the info on where you need to be this Halloween in Myrtle Beach.

Weekend Before Halloween

Voodoo Halloween Party (18+): The House of Blues will feature a New Orleans style Halloween party at The Deck! Come out to this themed party which will be complete with Voodoo Dancers and drink specials to keep you going all night long on Friday, Oct. 26. Just make sure you can dance in your costume because there will be music by Death of Paris to keep the party going. The Deck won’t look anything like you remember it – it’ll be decked out in the style of Voodoo for this mystical frightening event! Think your costume is the best out there? You’ll want to compete in their costume contest for a chance to win their huge first prize of $300 in addition to admission to each and every House of Blues concert next year for only $2 each, per show! Tickets to the Voodoo Halloween are $5 in advance or $10 the day of the party.

Captain’s Quarters Halloween Party (All Ages): If you are looking for a more family-friendly option, hit up the Captain’s Quarters Halloween Party at the Level 6 Entertainment Center on Saturday, Oct. 27 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. They’ll have a costume contest for all ages, a DJ and of course bowling! Grab a drink at the bar and join in the fun at this Myrtle Beach Halloween party.

Celebrity Square of Terror (18+): Probably one of the best known Halloween party at the beach takes place the weekend before Halloween on Saturday, Oct. 27 starting at 8 p.m. The Celebrity Square of Terror is no small event; people flock to Broadway at the Beach to show off their costumes from all over the Grand Strand. Here you can view some of the most intricate costumes as contestants compete for their annual costume contest at this outdoor party in the square. Dance the night away to a live DJ and grab a beer for one ghoulish night! Following the street party you can easily jump in to one of the many clubs located along the square and keep the party going!

Halloween Night

Life in Color (18+): Talk to any 20-something who lives in Myrtle Beach and ask them where they will be on Halloween night. Many will probably scream the word “DayGlow!” and get really excited. Well, that may be a bit of an exaggeration, but if you search Halloween in Myrtle Beach on Twitter, you’ll get a sense of people so excited, they are practically screaming. Although it is no longer called DayGlow, Life in Color produces the same exhilarating night of paint, music, energy, lighting and acrobatics. It’s an event you will have to be a part of to believe. This touring show will be in Myrtle Beach on Oct. 31 at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center. Since it is a special Halloween show, they will of course have a costume contest! Just be sure that you don’t mind if that awesome costume gets covered in paint. The show starts at 8 p.m. You have to be at least 18 to attend this show and tickets start at $32.

Blood Bash 2012 (21+): 2001 Entertainment Complex will be the site of the blood curling Blood Bash 2012 on Oct. 31. Come dressed in your most outrageous and realistic looking costume! As long as you arrive in costume you will get in free to this ghoulish party. “Count Craig Woolard and His Misfits” will lead the evening with beach music, top hits and party music starting at 9:30 p.m. Doors open at 8 p.m. but make sure you arrive by 11 p.m. because that’s when the costume contest will commence. They’ll be awarding more than $1,000 in prizes – that’s not small winnings! What’s less scary is their drink prices: they’ll have $3 specials all night plus they’ll have food available for purchase. Want to take a Zombie Vodka Shot or take on the Fireball Shots from Hell? You’ll need to look no further than the 2001 Entertainment Complex for your Myrtle Beach Halloween party.
