Life in Color (18+): Talk to any 20-something who lives in Myrtle Beach and ask them where they will be on Halloween night. Many will probably scream the word “DayGlow!” and get really excited. Well, that may be a bit of an exaggeration, but if you search Halloween in Myrtle Beach on Twitter, you’ll get a sense of people so excited, they are practically screaming. Although it is no longer called DayGlow, Life in Color produces the same exhilarating night of paint, music, energy, lighting and acrobatics. It’s an event you will have to be a part of to believe. This touring show will be in Myrtle Beach on Oct. 31 at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center. Since it is a special Halloween show, they will of course have a costume contest! Just be sure that you don’t mind if that awesome costume gets covered in paint. The show starts at 8 p.m. You have to be at least 18 to attend this show and tickets start at $32.
Blood Bash 2012 (21+): 2001 Entertainment Complex will be the site of the blood curling Blood Bash 2012 on Oct. 31. Come dressed in your most outrageous and realistic looking costume! As long as you arrive in costume you will get in free to this ghoulish party. “Count Craig Woolard and His Misfits” will lead the evening with beach music, top hits and party music starting at 9:30 p.m. Doors open at 8 p.m. but make sure you arrive by 11 p.m. because that’s when the costume contest will commence. They’ll be awarding more than $1,000 in prizes – that’s not small winnings! What’s less scary is their drink prices: they’ll have $3 specials all night plus they’ll have food available for purchase.
