Myrtle Beach Area Fourth of July Hotspots
The Fourth of July is fast approaching and Myrtle Beach is one of the best places to spend this summertime holiday.
Below is our roundup of the top Myrtle Beach area hotspots so you know where the fireworks and parties will be for the 2014 holiday!
Myrtle Beach Boardwalk
Hot Summer Nights at the Boardwalk will include a special celebration for the 4th of July. They will be having a giant fireworks show at 10 p.m. and there will surely be lots of people stopping in for drinks at the Boardwalk restaurants or grabbing a spot on the beach with a blanket or chair to view the fireworks over the ocean.
Murrells Inlet MarshWalk
One of the most popular places outside of the city of Myrtle Beach to celebrate Independence Day is Murrells Inlet. They have their yearly Boat Parade, which will go past the MarshWalk. Planned for high tide, the parade will begin at noon in Garden City, making its way to the Inlet.
If you want to grab a drink at a local restaurant after or during the parade, it’s easy to do! Plus, there will be live music at various hot spots including The Bil Krauss Show at 1 p.m. at Dead Dog Saloon.
Later in the evening there will also be live music including Painted Man at Dead Dog Saloon at 8 p.m. If you want to get a great view of the fireworks show, grab your seat early because the MarshWalk really fills up fast! The fireworks show begins at 10 p.m.
Broadway at the Beach
If you’d rather spend the 4th of July in more of a club atmosphere, then check out Celebrity Square at Broadway at the Beach. You can catch live music at Wet Willie’s at 9 p.m. featuring Kelsey Hudgins, check out the dueling piano players at Crocodile Rocks beginning at 8 p.m. or you can pop into one of the many clubs spinning the hits with a live DJ.
At 10 p.m. fireworks will light up over Lake Broadway, leaving you plenty of time afterwards to continue partying all night long!
If you want to head a bit farther north for your 4th of July fun, then check out Barefoot Landing.
A great place to grab dinner and a drink, Barefoot Landing will be buzzing with visitors celebrating the holiday. The fireworks will begin at 10:15 p.m.
