Chief Kamu's Fire and Hula Show
Chief Kamu brings his famous Fire and Hula Show to the Captain's Quarters building with performances every Saturday night all spring and summer long! Hotel Blue guests are invited to join the fun.
About Chief Kamu: Chief Kamu's Fire and Hula Show will take you on a journey through the Islands of Hawaii and the South Pacific. We will share with you our Traditonal and Contemporary styles of Hula. We will Have Hula Lessons for everyone to enjoy. For the finale, Chief Kamu will perform the Dangerous and Daring Fire Knife Dance of the Pacific Islands. This is a show that is not easily forgotten. Come and enjoy the "Aloha Spirit".

Captain Sneaky & Tiki Bird
Captain Sneaky & Tiki Bird are among our favorite summer visitors at Hotel Blue. Tiki Bird is a Greenwinged Macaw native to South America. He was born in Florida and then moved to Richmond, Va where his Dad (Captain Sneaky) adopted him. Tiki Bird just loves going to the beach and visiting Hotel Blue!
Therapy Pool Parties
Come and enjoy the hottest pool party at the beach. The Hotel Blue Therapy Oceanfront Pool Party is the perfect way to relax and unwind. Therapy offers guests an exciting swimming pool playground with Myrtle Beach's only swim-up pool bar! And with hot afternoon performances it is simply the place to see and be seen. Nowhere else on the beach will you find the same mix of relaxation and edge where the party doesn’t stop when the sun goes down.

TreeHouse Genre: Alternative / Indie Postmodern Beach Rock / Singer/Songwriter Pop Reggae Dub. TreeHouse (formerly known as Jeremy Anderson & Friends) hails from North Myrtle Beach, SC. The band's main influences are Sublime, Bob Marley, The Beatles, and Pinback. The band is currently focusing on recording new music and booking shows in a town near you.
Jah Creation Genre: Dub / Reggae. Jah Creation Reggae Band, based out of Charleston, SC, brings an irie vibe with some of the best roots reggae music around. A full time tour de force, Jah Creation runs the circuit between the Florida Keys and the Jersey Shores, averaging between 10-20 shows per month. No matter what age, race, or creed, everyone seems to love their original songs, as well as the classic covers that they perform. They have opened for some of the biggest reggae acts in the world, including Culture, Israel Vibration, Yellowman, Steel Pulse, Third World, Burning Spear, Eek-A-Mouse, and The Wailers. The band has also appeared in two feature films produced in the Cape Fear area entitled Ulterior Motives, and Retribution, released in 2002. In addition, Jimmy Jams has appeared twice on the WB hit show "One Tree Hill," in a national ESPN commercial, as a featured extra in the movie "Juwanna Mann," and will be in an upcoming feature film with members of the cast of SNL. Tracks from their CD's are being heard all over the East Coast, from Key West, FL to Charlotte, NC to Baltimore, MD to NYC, and all over the world via Live365 internet radio. Whatever the situation, the band's mission is to bring the people positive music, irie vibes, and to spread the message of Love, Respect, and Unity.
Shaywise Genre: Blues / Rock / Southern Rock. Shaywise was formed in 2006. Influences Include: Steve Vai, Victor Wooten, Bill Dickens, Bella Fleck, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Hootie and the Blowfish, 3 Doors Down, Journey, Van Halen, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Bob Seger, Steve Miller,Rush, Steve Shook, Virgil Donati, John Bonum, Carter Beuford, and many other groups that are too many to mention!
Humble Vibez Genre: Reggae / Island / Rock. Humble Vibez celebrate the music of Bob Marley and other Reggae. The band also has the ability to perform traditional Hawaiian acoustic songs as a duo. The band has been performing together since early 2009 in the Myrtle Beach and Grand Strand areas. Members include Rob Taylor(ukelele and lead vocals),Jason Bost(Bass Guitar and vocals), P.J. Thielman(drums) and Paka Huruhutia(Lead Guitar).
Papaya Bros Genre: Acoustic / Experimental / Folk Rock. A lively and energetic acoustic duo for the stage... the Papaya Brothers are also accomplished songwriters and masters of studio work, with a deep library of original music. The P. Bros. are best known for their tight harmonies and active dueling guitar roles on stage...or perhaps their epic studio work which visits many different genres.
Paul Grimshaw Band Genre: Jazz / Hard Rock / Country / Classic Rock. Despite the rather unimaginative name, this four-piece ensembles plays the wide variety of imaginative cover tunes demanding audiences request. From light jazz to hard rock, from country to classic rock, and all points in between, PGB has nearly 750 songs in its repertoire, making requests the band's specialty. The band is equally at home in a small restaurant playing as background music for diners who would rather not have to scream over their meals, as they are front-stage in a club setting, performing energetic, danceable music with deft musicianship and the ability to read a crowd as their hallmarks. The musical resumes of this band include recording session work in New York and Nashville for legendary artists such as Aretha Franklin, Van McCoy, The Drifters, Wet Willie and others along with countless live performances in front of sold-out crowds. Versatile enough to offer solo, duo, up to six-piece band, PGB is proud to be one of the busiest ensembles on the beach.
Super Reggae Man Genre: Reggae / Reggae Covers of Classic Tunes. Super Reggae Man (aka Jimmyjams of JAH Creation) performs 6 different instruments as an amazing one-man reggae band, complete with 2 piece horn section! Sing a looper, (in the style of Keller Williams, Zach Deputy, Barefoot Wade etc) Super Reggae Man creates, records and performs reggae tunes from the ground up - one instrument at a time. Taking each song through the drum and bass foundation, then adding the bubble and skank, and even vocal harmonies and horn parts, it is an amazing experience. Keeping the crowd ingaged with soulful originals, stirring renditions of popular reggae covers, and even crossing over with some reggae version of classic tunes, Super Reggae Man fights to save the planet...one good vibe at a time.
Jay Kennedy Genre: Blues / Rock. Jay Kennedy is the founder and lead singer & guitarist of Shaywise. Josh Brannon Genre: Americana / Country / Southern Rock. Josh Brannon's live show mixes original music, classic covers, and todays hits. Always keeping the crowd entertained and wanting more! The music, always has a warm southern feeling that takes over the venue.
DL Token Genre: Hard Rock Acoustic. This original group of NC musicians leave the half stacks at home & bring a mix of familiar covers and edgy original music back the the Grand Strand with their acoustic line-up. The Fayetteville band plays both acoustic music and hard-driving rock.
Root Soul Project Genre: Americana / Roots Music / Soul. The RootSoul Project is a two-piece band from Wilmington, North Carolina that blends the soulful aspects of numerous genres from rock and blues, to reggae and hip-hop. The band has been together since Spring of 2004, and has performed alongside names like Tim Reynolds, Matisyahu, Widespread Panic, Culture, Victor Wooten, Steve Bailey, Corey Smith, The Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Badfish, and The Nappy Roots. The RootSoul Project is just what the name says it is. It started as a project to fuse the styles of roots music that the band loved with the styles of rock & roll, hip-hop, and soul that they grew up listening to. The result is a sound that pays homage to their musical role-models, while staying fresh in its approach and delivery.
Scoot Pittman Genre: Rock / Roots / Soul. It takes a professional to seamlessly blend booty shakin' rhythm with lasting, meaningful lyrics, but that is exactly what Scoot Pittman is and it is exactly what he has done. Like mama's Southern cookin' sticks to your gut, Scoot's music will satisfy that sweet spot in your brain and keep a smile on your face. Very real, very fun, and very entertaining – this music and this life makes sense.
