Help hotel BLUE Support Toys For Tots This Christmas

Toys for TotsOnce again hotel BLUE and the Vacation Myrtle Beach family are supporting Toys for Tots by collecting new, unwrapped toys for children in need this holiday season.

This is the third year that hotel BLUE has supported Toys for Tots. Over the past two seasons nearly $2,500 was collected through Vacation Myrtle Beach along with five trucks full of toys and we hope to surpass that this year.

Those booking with hotel BLUE will able to donate in a variety of ways. One option is by adding on a donation while booking, either online or on the phone. This is great for guests who won’t be in Myrtle Beach during the fundraiser but who would like to make a donation. The second way is by donating a dollar or more during the check-in process. This is perfect for guests who are coming for a Myrtle Beach vacation during the holidays. The third way is by dropping off a new toy. Just be sure not to wrap it! These toys can be dropped off at any Vacation Myrtle Beach resort and placed under their Toys for Tots Christmas tree.

The local Toys for Tots chapter, located in Murrells Inlet, assists thousands of children in needs each year. According to the most recent census data, 25.2% of people living in Myrtle Beach are below the poverty level as compared to 17% for the state and according to The Annie E. Casey Foundation Kids Count Data Center’s most recent information, more than 30% of children in Horry County are living in households that fall below the poverty level. These numbers are heartbreaking and show how great the need is in our area.

Join together with hotel BLUE Resort and Vacation Myrtle Beach and make a donation this holiday season to help a child in need who may otherwise get little to none this Christmas.
