What’s New in Myrtle Beach 2014

Myrtle Beach is always changing and adding fun, new hot attractions and restaurants.


Even if you come to Myrtle Beach every year, there are some new things to check out this season when you visit the beach. Below are the top new things in Myrtle Beach this year:


Dining & Drinks

Our new lobby bar and patio are sure to impress you and your friends. Stop by for a quick drink or head on over for some afternoon cocktails.


Crepe Creation Café: A new Market Common restaurant, Crepe Creation Café features a variety of delicious crepes, including savory, sweet and breakfast menus. They have options like Athens, which includes fresh spinach, feta and bruschetta salsa, French Spring, which includes brie, spinach, tomatoes and strawberry balsamic, Sante Fe, which includes a scrambled egg, cheddar, tomatoes, onions, bell peppers and salsa, and Strawberry Lemonade, which includes fresh strawberries, lemon zest, sugar and butter with powdered sugar. Located near the movie theater, this restaurant is the perfect place to stop by before seeing a movie.


New Celebrity Square Restaurant: Celebrity Square, the popular party spot at Broadway at the Beach, will be welcoming a new restaurant this summer: Rooster Bar and Grill. This restaurant will feature a large variety of chicken dishes from salads to entrees. Be sure to check them out on your next visit!


Which Wich: Located near the new Target by Highway 544, this made-to-order sandwich shop opened earlier this year. Walk in, grab a paper sandwich bag (different bags for different types) and start check marking off what you’d like on your sub. You can start with turkey, beef, pastrami, seafood, vegetarian or breakfast, just to name a few, then pick your style (white, wheat, bowl or lettuce wrap) and pick your toppings. With such a large variety of toppings such as pickles, candid walnuts, mozzarella, bacon, olives, spicy mayo and hummus, their customizable sandwiches are for pretty much anyone.


Johnny D’ Waffles and Bakery: If you want to go to a restaurant that has a seemingly endless menu and plenty to choose from, then this new Myrtle Beach restaurant is the perfect choice for breakfast or lunch. Located just about three miles from hotel BLUE on 33rd Avenue North and Highway 17 Business, Johnny D’s offers eggs, fruit, pastries, skillets and more. Choose from the Ranchero Skillet, Bacon Avocado Wrap, Funfetti Waffle, Irish Benedict or Egg Quesadillas for breakfast or for lunch choose from such options as Chipotle Chicken Panini, Fried Eggplant Stacker, Feta Veggie Burger or French Dip Sandwich. You may have trouble choosing what to choose for your meal, which may just mean you will have to return for more!


Attractions


Hollywood Wax Museum: One of four in the country, the Hollywood Wax Museum will be opening its Myrtle Beach location this summer. Located where Highway 17 Bypass and 21st Avenue North meet, this wax museum will be host to a variety of celebrity figures such as Johnny Depp, Angelina Jolie and Marylyn Monroe.


Amusement Rides: If you want to feel like a kid again, Broadway at the Beach will be adding new rides this season including the Freak-Out and the Rocket Flyer. Plus, they will have a 65-foot slide so get ready to have some fun!


Shops


Coastal Carolina Winery: Newly added to Broadway at the Beach, Coastal Carolina Winery will be opening soon. Check them out for some great tasting wines!
